OPI Emotions

Yet another Liquid Sand
(Can you tell I like these)

This is a black with a lovely subtle gold glitter which of course you can't see!

Tried lots of different angles and it seems it only wants to show in real life.

I love black and really dark colours on short nails so not too traumatised by the two breaks.

Will try and update this more often as I am nearly organised in my make up corner.

OPI Can't Let Go

Another OPI Liquid Sand

I really do love these lacquers they are almost indestructible and look fab on the nails no matter what condition they are in.

It's a shame the pics don't pick up the beautiful silver sparkle this one has

The nails really do twinkle and glint and the shade of purple is perfect

The only reason I took this off was because two of my nails broke (don't ya just hate it when that happens)

So it is back to square one again sadly.

OPI Pussy Galore

Another Liquid sand offering from OPI.

This is part of their Bond Girls collection of which I have six.

I really like the liquid sand as I said in my previous post, so I have ordered some Zoya Pixie dust and China Glaze textured polishes to compare.

I love this baby pink with glittery particles and think it would look beautiful on a bride. Can you just see the pics now?

Sorry for the pants application but the camera did catch the colour quite well.

This was one coat of Leighton Denny One for all and two coats of Pussy Galore.

OPI What Wizardry is this? Liquid sand polish.

I have been wanting to try this textured polish since it was first released. Thing is though I have a huuuuuuuuge collection and was worried it would be crackle all over again. I really wanted it but was over it just as quick.

This however I could wear happily for the rest of my days. It applied like a dream. Doesn't feel anyway as bad as I thought it would. Plus I heard it is easier to remove than glitter so what's not to love?

I have already ordered another two colours and am really looking forward to them arriving.

I am not sure what is up with my camera as the pictures do not do this polish justice but I am posting them anyway.

This was one coat of Leighton Denny One for all and two coats of the OPI.

Things I have used up

These videos are very popular on You Tube and I must say I enjoy watching other peoples. I will do some nail polish posts soon as my hands are getting back to normal and my IKEA desk should finally be gone and my new Argos one in place next week. Yes this has been an ongoing battle with IKEA since January!!!

Enough of that and on to the video :0).

Bad Hands

I really don't know what is happening to me lately. My skin and body are falling apart, no sniggering now lol. I think it may be the fact that I have been on medication for over 10 years. I tried some Alpha H on my face to help find better skin underneath and all I did was burn myself!! I wouldn't mind but I had tested it once and it was fine.

I painted my nails and they look awful but I didn't want to waste the pictures or clip of it sparkling in the sunshine. So sorry for the pants hands but the polish is beautiful. There is the duochrome and the holographic sparkles a definite original.

It went on easy and these show a base coat of Leighton Denny all for 1, three thin coats of the Nubar Gem and a Seche Vite top coat.

Nail Care

I was asked to do this post by the beautiful Maria over at http://www.mariasself.com/ , She has the most amazing blog and is such an amazing lady. Pop along and take a look and I know you will be hooked. I was quite taken aback when she asked me as I am really bad at looking after my nails to be honest. Years ago in my youth I did a lot of bar work and had my hands in and out of water constantly and my nails just grew and grew and I always had nails at least an inch long.
Now if they get any longer than the pic above they break at the edges and are so sore. So my upkeep consists of (when I remember) cutting them when they get to this length before they break. I am pants at filing, it makes my skin creep (just like touching cardboard with wet hands, I know I'm weird lol) so I just use my file to take off the rough edges after using the nail clippers.
Wonky thumb nail, no idea why it grew like that??
Dry down the side of my nail. I am very bad at remembering to oil my cuticles so what I try to do it use hand cream everytime I wash my hands and massage it into the nails and cuticles. I had been using a body butter on my hands recently and my nails were great. Obviously the hand cream I moved onto isn't as nourishing as that was so will have to up the routine :0).
My Leighton Denny crystal nail file
Leighton Denny cuticle oil Slick Tips
 Instruments of torture lol
Preferred nail clippers.
 Just after clipping
 Rough round the edges
 After a quick file
 Tidied up a bit

Now with some slick tips (see how much better that finger looks)

All done and ready for some polish
now which one shall I choose
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

China Glaze Atlantis

My pics are not the greatest and my paint job isn't either. I have new glasses waiting for me to go and collect. But have not been able to get them yet. I am trying to cope with my prescription reading glasses but it's really hard to focus on anything at the moment. The good bit of that is that hopefully application and pics may improve once I do get my glasses.............we hope................on to the pics.

Atlantis is a blue/green jelly base with holographic glitters more green than blue I would say.

This was a coat of Leighton Denny's under cover, 2 coats of the Atlantis and topped off with Seche Vite.
I like that you can see the sparkle in this pic

 Blurry but pretty

One last one just for the hell of it.
It is almost smooth with the Seche Vite not like a normal gritty glitter
Thanks for Looking

How about a video?

Sunday 20 January 2013

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Sorry for screaming but just had to get that out of my system.

Tonight has not been a good night. For those of you who don't know I am disabled, and for those who know I am disabled I have a make up addiction. I have a very small space to store my collection and recently decided to get rid of the old clumpy computer table and filing cabinet and get something practical.

I purchased some Alex drawers from Ikea and a Micke desk and set about organising myself.

This has/is a sloooooooow painful process as I have to be feeling sort of ok which isn't everyday. Then when I do I can't do too much. In between I have put my back out...............well you get the picture.

Tonight I took a mad fit to move some more stuff and opened my Alex. Inside the drawers was black on the sides and backs of the drawers to say I was annoyed is an understatement. We have a mould problem in this house and have a de-humidifier in the bedroom collecting 2 litres a day!! I was gutted thinking it was mould but we think it is dust the unit is blowing out!!

Soooooooo me sat on a stool and a packet of baby wipes set to cleaning all the drawers and the vent and filter on the de-humidifier. Fingers crossed setting the vent to swing instead of being fixed may help the problem. So as I cleaned I got more things into the drawers off the table.

Then came annoyance number 2 on the desk that I haven't even sat at yet has two bloody scratches and all you can see is brown (it is a white table) bangs head on wall. I am so pissed off it isn't even funny. I was so looking forward to finally getting to sit at the desk and paint my nails, or maybe put some make up on, which I haven't been able to do for years as everything is in tubs all over the place. I could have cried.

I tried a BarryM white polish but it isn't very opaque and it needed so much to cover that there was a visible lump. I am hoping that tippex may do it keep your fingers crossed. I know I will more than likely have a towel covering it when I am doing anything anyway but it is just so damn annoying to have something ruined before you have even had the chance to use it.

It may still be months (and the rest) before I actually get to sit down and play with my things so hopefully the brainfog will make me forget it ever happened LOL.

See ya next time
